Spring time is the time to start mulching the flower beds.  natural mulches are very good for gardens.  mulch retains moisture so you do not have to water so much.  In the summer mulch keeps the roots of the plant from getting too hot as well acting as an insulator, even in the winter the mulch insulates the plants so the roots dont get too cold.  Mulch is also a weed supresser making hand weeding less of a job.

​There are many different types and colors of natural mulch most plants in our area prefer neutral soil conditions which is a match for the natural wood mulches.  As the mulch breaks down over time it provides nutrients for gardens which benefits the plants and soil.
